When it comes to learning about keeping honey bees, there is truly no substitute for in-person training. Mentors in beekeeping are often in very short supply.
My philosophy has always been that "no one is smarter than everyone", so I encourage new beekeepers to find online honey bee education programs that offer diverse and meaningful information from several experts in the field of beekeeping.
I also recommend seeking programs that evolve and improve over the years as we face new challenges in beekeeping.
