Here at Fred's Fine Fowl, year by year, my land is becoming forest, meadow and wildlife habitat.
Every new tree, is selected and placed, based on it's benefit to wildlife. Wherever possible, I landscape with natives. Take a moment and think about it... what is your lawn doing for you and local wild life?
For me, mowing is just a bad thing... yet necessary to keep range area for my birds and wildlife which prefer open space, or fringe areas. Each year, my goal is to mow less and grow more. In the city, you may be able to do more than you think.
