Fred's Fine Fowl

Pip, hatch, grow and learn... about poultry.

Photography on this website is by Frederick J. Dunn (Suspended Moments Photography) and may not be used elsewhere without express written consent from the photographer.

We've used flashing lights to protect the things we cherish most for a long time...
The people at Interplex Nite Eyes are so certain that these flashing light units will be effective as a predator deterrent that they offer a 60 Day Money Back Guarantee!

In my opinion, this is probably the most effective night protection you can get for your chickens, ducks, geese and swans...  The units charge themselves by sunlight during the day and then automatically come on at dark, continually emitting a pulsing red light which animals are confused by, thus finding another place to bother.

I've used other designs here at Fred's Fine Fowl and think these are interesting as they have two flashing lights, which may appear to animals as the eyes of another animal they can't smell or properly identify.

Honey bee keepers suffer profound losses due to black bear raids in my part of the country and I think, after discussions with company personnel, that these units may be just the ticket.  I've been with the Pennsylvania Bee Inspector and witnessed first hand, the profound damage a bear can impose on valuable bee yards.

Nocturnal flashing light units like these are safer and less expensive than electric fence and can be seen from a long way off.  My neighbor thought I had some sort of security system on my property!

Visit this page again, as I may be posting photos of the units operating and also there is the possibility of a YouTube where I will demonstrate their proper use and installation...

Thank you for visiting Fred's Fine Fowl and I hope you will also check out the solar night eyes website by clicking their image at the top of this page.

Providing effective protection for our livestock is a serious responsibility...  this year I will also be placing them around my vegetable garden as a deterrent to raccoons and other night munchers!
